2018 Chevy Equinox: The Savviest Compact SUV Around

In a world where the compact SUV is the fastest growing type of vehicle, Chevy has striven to be a cut above the rest. One of the biggest changes has been Equinox’s 400-lb. weight loss. This is due in part to the change Chevy made to switching to a lighter four-cylinder, turbo-only engine. The drastic change in overall weight of the vehicle allowed Chevy to completely redesign the chassis of the Equinox. Now the structure is much firmer with handling that you usually only feel in higher-end, luxury vehicles.

The back seat no longer slides, in order to provide passengers with greater support for their thighs and lumbar.
