2018 Chevy Equinox: The Savviest Compact SUV Around

In a world where the compact SUV is the fastest growing type of vehicle, Chevy has striven to be a cut above the rest. With the new 2018 Chevy Equinox, they have upgraded their features which we hope will draw you to come see us at Larry H. Miller Chevrolet Provo. We would like to share a few of these changes with you in preparation for your test drive.

One of the biggest changes has been Equinox’s 400-lb. weight loss. This is due in part to the change Chevy made to switching to a lighter four-cylinder, turbo-only engine. The Equinox will release a series of four models, each with differing levels of horsepower starting with the 252-hp and 260-hp 2.0T engine options.

The drastic change in overall weight of the vehicle allowed Chevy to completely redesign the chassis of the Equinox. Now the structure is much firmer with handling that you usually only feel in higher-end, luxury vehicles.

In the interior remains mostly unchanged with a few tweaks occurring in the back for rear-riding passengers. The back seat no longer slides, in order to provide passengers with greater support for their thighs and lumbar. The back rest does recline to allow for a more comfortable ride, and the leg room is ample enough for even the tallest passenger.

With a large infotainment display, and an available panoramic sunroof, the Chevy Equinox places itself as a strong contender moving into the next model year. There is no telling how long these models will last on the lot once they are rolled out completely, so you’ll want to come down and test drive one today.

With a variety of financing options, the Equinox shouldn’t hurt your checkbook either. Our sales team is ready to help you reach a level of comfort and convenience that you didn’t know could be achieved at such a great value. Come down and see us at Larry H. Miller Chevrolet in Provo and we’ll help make the Chevy Equinox yours.

Chevy vs. Ford: Battle of the Brands

When it comes to rivalries, there is none more contested than that of the American carmakers, Chevrolet and Ford. With so much innovative automotive history between the two, there is no question that there is much to compare. Let’s put three of our models head-to-head with three of theirs and see who comes out on top!

Chevrolet Silverado 1500 vs. Ford F-150
Unfortunately, in an overall comparison, Ford did best Chevy. For most, this comparison is the ultimate test of superiority, but we still think the Chevy Silverado 1500 has a few tricks up its sleeve that will entice the more sophisticated eye for aesthetics and comfort. In a side-by-side comparison, the features of the Chevy Silverado 1500 offer the “around the town” quality that won’t make your wife embarrassed to pull up to La Caille in a pick-up. With the same overall capabilities of the Ford F-150, your Chevy has the ability to do what the Ford does if you need it to. With features like available 4G LTE Wi-Fi®, 4WD auto rear locker, and a high strength steel bed, however, the Silverado takes style and durability to an all new level.

Chevrolet Camaro vs. Ford Mustang
Considered to be the only two pony car models on the road, Camaro and Mustang have an equally fierce comparison. In terms of overall score, the Camaro tops the Mustang. With an extended line of stock features that don’t come standard in other vehicles of its kind, the Camaro continues the tradition of more bang for the buck. And in the case of the Camaro, depending on whether you go with the V6 or V8, there’s a little more oomph in your giddy-up as well.

Chevrolet Malibu vs. Ford Fusion
Far and away the preferable midsize car of choice is the Chevy Malibu when compared to the Ford Fusion. With class-topping scores in safety and reliability, the Malibu blows the Fusion out of the water! Add the comfortable ride, ample storage space, and intuitive infotainment features that come standard in new Chevy models, and there is really no need to compare them further.

Not sure if you believe our claims? Then come down and see for yourself! At Larry H. Miller Chevrolet of Provo, we aren’t afraid to put these claims to the test. With a full inventory of Chevy Silverados, Camaros, and Malibus we will be able to put these theories and ratings to the test, and we think you’ll drive away in a new Chevy.
